Kalakriti is a inter-school competition that was head in out school. Students from 7 to 12 took part in the event. The event consisted of different art forms like vocal, band, drama, dance , rangoli, and art. Participants were selected from school for there category. I was selected for solo singing in the category of grade 10 to 12. Event was held at 22th December 2018. As I got really less AS classes to prepared for the performance majorly on my own. I selected the song that I was suppose to perform with the help of my AS teacher (Somnath Mitra)
\nThe learning outcome that this include-<\/p>\n
LO 1- Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.
\nMy strength through out the competition and the practice was my choice of selection. The song I choose was high pitch and also had many variation. The lyrics of the song was also decent to be performed in front of the audience. While practicing I realized that I need more practice, for which I tarted practicing more. One major weakness that I faced was, that i was very nervous before going on the stage and performing. As i went on the stage and started singing I made few mistakes because I was very nervous. I still focused and completed the song and came first in my category. If I was not nervous I could have performed better.<\/p>\n
LO 3- Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
\nAs I had less classes and time to prepare I made sure that I practice my song every day for at least 1 hour. The preparation did take a lot of commitment as I was representing my school.
