Sports has always been my weakest area. I\u2019ve never had an inclination towards it. But I understand its importance and hence wanted my physical education classes to be a part of my CAS.<\/span><\/p>\n

L4-commitment to and perseverance<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My physical education classes definitely required perseverance and commitment<\/span> since they occurred every alternate day. It was hard for me to attend it regularly because of my strong dislike for sports. However, I encouraged myself to do the best of my abilities and attend each class sincerely to keep myself fit and learn new things. As a matter of fact,\u00a0 they made me realise that I wasn\u2019t as bad at sports as I expected.<\/span><\/p>\n

L1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They enlightened me with my strengths and weaknesses. Concentration and stamina (which I got from being a dancer) were my main strengths. On the other hand, my weaknesses were fear, mainly of being judged, and lack of confidence. But when I played with confidence, without the fear of being judged, I actually played pretty well to my surprise. It was important for me to learn about my strengths and weaknesses since they are not just applicable for sports, but even for life in general.<\/span><\/p>\n

L2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken developing new skills<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I also developed new skills since I played sports that I had never played before, like American football and archery. Initially I was very nervous since these sports were new to me. But eventually, I got better at them, especially at archery in which my arrows went nearer to the target every time I attempted it. Though I\u2019m not a sports lover, physical education classes turned out to be fun, contrary to what I expected and taught me a lot of things.<\/span><\/p>\n

L5- Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sports also requires a lot of collaboration<\/span> since we are supposed to work in teams. It was really beneficial to me as I could make and get to know a lot of friends. All teams have a balance of players of different abilities and skills. It often becomes annoying when some people are either too competitive or not competitive at all. But overall, it was a great experience interacting with so many people and getting to know them better.<\/span><\/p>\n

L7-Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ethics<\/span> are also very important for sports. We have to make sure that we don\u2019t cheat while playing and respect our opponents whether we win or lose. Since all players, including me, have different skills, it is important to respect each other and work well as a team.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Overall, my education classes were really fun. I got to know a lot of people really well, and became more confident to try new things.<\/span><\/p>\n
