FSMUN: Also known as Fountainhead School Model United Nations. <\/span>Model UN , simply put, is a diplomatic competition. Students are, in most cases, assigned countries, and their job is to express their countries beliefs in committee in order to pass favorable resolutions. … In general, MUN is used more to foster those skills than to actually simulate the United Nations. Finding creative and innovative solutions with supporting a country given to a specific person is very interesting and creative.\u00a0 This event was organized in our school itself only. It was a 2 day event<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

LO-1: <\/span>Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth. Before this event I was very scared of speaking in front of people, basically, I had stage fear. To prepare for this event, a lot of secondary research and self-thinking skills were needed. Hence, this event led me to conduct good research on my country. On the first day I lacked with some research but after the first day I was ready for the second day to have good things to speak about. At the beginning of the event I was not open to while exhibiting my points but after a while I was frequent and was able to exhibit all my points.<\/span><\/p>\n

LO-2: A lot of hard work was indeed needed to participate in this event. I had to start my research according to my topic 2 weeks before the event started. A lot of time had to be given for the research to be conducted. Due to all of this I was able to develop my research skills for my own betterment.<\/span><\/p>\n

LO-4: As mentioned before I had to spend weeks to prepare for this event. Not only till the event I was preparing for it, even after the event, we had internal debates where we debated for a casual purpose. For the casual debates I was constantly preparing for it. I was dedicated for the event. After the first day ended, I was all tired but still, I woke myself up with some caffeine and did all my research accordingly. I was persistent with everything I did.<\/span><\/p>\n

LO-6: One of the issues to be resolved in our MUN was to not use paper napkin and use napkins instead. This is because usage of paper napkin is a wastage of trees, as trees are used to make these. Hence taking this step forward, My family, friends and I stopped using paper napkins to save our own environment and to live a better quality of life.<\/span>\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
