Personal Profile
Hey this is me, Vaishvi Kapadia studying in grade 12 finishing my IBDP. I have loved the CAS component overall even though it got a bit frustrating to check all the criteria that were set. I am as a person very jolly and fun to be with. I believe in being ‘giving’ and am very ‘generous’. The one quote I live by is ‘Have courage and be kind’ which helps me aspire to be a better person every single day. There are times when I have horrible days however I won’t let that affect how I react and behave with people. Being kind is the key. The things I love to do include dancing, travelling, scrolling through Instagram for inspiration, Visual arts and talking. I feel like I can let go when I dance and make art. I am not a fan of painting tangible objects but I am very interested towards just creating art with a purpose or creating art that helps me express my feelings. To explore more into the visual arts field, I took up VA as my subject and it has helped me immensely to express my feelings. Other than being an artistic person, I LOVE listening to music. I just feel like I can take a break from the reality and go into this imaginary world of my own and feel better about it. I love trekking and am quite an adventurous person as well! I have scuba dived, done parasailing and paragliding both, flew in an anti gravity chamber and so much more is left to do.
There is a long list of things I wish to do before I die and it includes earning a ‘Private Pilot License’. I am super fascinated by aviation and driven towards flying a plane someday. I also want to sky dive and someday in the future open my own ‘Event Management’ company. If that doesn’t work out, I could always try and be an instagrammer 😉
I am a feminist and I am very concerned about the gender inequality my country faces. I would love to see India develop into a country where there is no ‘Gender pay gap’, where girls are given equal opportunities as boys are and women are treated no less than men. I also believe in ‘Sexual fluidity’ and it was great to see India decriminalise Section 377.
I don’t have a list of things I want to learn in particular because there is a long way for me to go and a lot more to learn along the way. I wish to never stop chasing what I wish to do and always keep achieving.
