CAS profile

My name’s Ansh Kapadia, currently I am studying the full IB diploma program; year 2. I have selected my subjects according to the field I wanna pursue my career in, which is business management. Although, I also like to deal with machines but taking science was not my cup of tea.
Talking about myself, I am more like an open, risk-taking, communicative, caring and a friendly person. The thing I like to do the most is play sports: I have been playing the sport Ultimate Frisbee since the last 6 years and I am continually excelling in the same. With this, there are 4 other sports which I play are basketball, cricket, football and table tennis. I am more interested towards the sports which have a hand-eye co-ordination. Not only sports is what that interests me, dealing with money, talking to new people, understanding the mechanism of something and studying economics & business management, interest me to great extents. Recently, I have also started to read books, which is also quite a lot interesting and have helped me in many different ways.
The things I enjoy doing the most are spending time with my friends, eating food, traveling, bike riding, exploring new places, visiting amusement parks, visiting museums, cycling, running, exercising, reading, helping my father and my mother with his or her work, cleaning my bedroom and of-course playing games. The reason behind I enjoy doing them is because of the satisfaction I achieve in it.
When speaking about my talents, I do have many, I am very talented when it comes to problem solving situations, I can handle it very well; problem solving here means in every situation, from studies to a real life situations. With this, as mentioned before, I am very talented when it comes to sports, instantly my body becomes dedicated to whatever sport I play (the sport which I have played for a several number of days). I am very good when it comes to communicating with people (not on stage but in a new group or talking to a person). I am good when it comes to meeting new people and to talk to them.
The one thing I really want to get involved in is an environment or social club where I can step by step help people and the world out to make a huge/significant difference. Except this, I also want to involve myself in more number of MUNs or speaking contests, which will help me to tear apart my stage fear allowing me to become more interactive when it comes to speaking in front of a huge crowd. Additionally, I want to organize huge events frequently which will surely lead me to improve a number skills: dealing with money, time management, communicating to unknown people, being balanced, being patient, more knowledgeable about surroundings, negotiating, making a WIN-WIN situation and many other things. With all of this, I wanted to involve myself into a new sport; lawn tennis, which will help me to know my capabilities in different areas.
The issue which majorly affect me is the way my country is growing/acting/behaving into. My country has taken good decisions but the way some decision gets implemented aren’t good. Although, India is one of the developing nation across the but we aren’t developing as people like we should. People still have an old typical mindset and that is what issues me the most. Although, sometimes having this kind of mindset helps a person to be safe; the rape cases around here are treacherous. The point I want to make is that even if India is growing buildings or inventing new technologies or achieving unbelievable goals, but we aren’t growing as people as a person or as an Indian.
The thing I want to learn more about is politics, I do have some knowledge of how things go on, but still I want to develop on my knowledge. With this, I want to learn how the most successful people like Cristiano Ronaldo, Roger Federer, Bill gates, and all behaved towards their career choices.
Keeping all this aside, There are many things which I want to try but haven’t yet, which are: Sky diving, running a 50 or 100 km marathon, taking part in a writing and speaking competition, go on a world tour with my friends and to climb the longest mountain in the world with my buddies (there are more things I want to do but it’s not open to all).
