Whakanui reflection- Fatema Jariwala

Whakanui
Whakanui was a cultural event organized in school by my batch in collaboration with English A subject. We got divided into groups and were given a specific country to represent. The theme was royal weddings in different countries. We prepared different text types to show how royal weddings take place around the world. I was given the country Bhutan and I researched the royal wedding there and wrote a blog for the same as a text to display.

L1- Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
I have a good command over English and I am a person who writes a lot and likes writing. This was my strength which I utilized to write the blog. I also had a sound understanding of the learning outcomes so I could help my teammates include them in their texts. I was not really god at creatively decorating the text so I did not do much for the same but I helped in the overall decoration for the room in which we presented. it was a very knowledgeable experience and we got to experience beautiful cultures.

L5- Demonstrate skills benefits of working collaboratively
We were a group of more than 5 people so we decide to divide ur tasks. I decided to explain to everyone the Learning Outcomes of the subject and assign text types. Others had responsibilities of decorations, resources, displays and writing their own texts. Dividing work made it easy for us to finish our work on time.
