Monsoon Musings

Monsoon Musing was a poetry event that would give aspiring writers a chance to express their ideas in the form of a poem or a tiny tale. Adding to that Seva Cafe was introduced as well, Seva Cafe was a cafe where they would serve food during the poetry reading and the audience would pay whatever amount they think is right. There was even an Art stall which displayed artworks and if the artist wishes she could even sell them. I had participated in that, I had made a few artworks specifically for monsoon musings, the process was fun but time-consuming as well.

LO1- Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.                              I identified my own strength as drawing and working with a permanent marker. I identified my weakness as soft pastels as it was only the second time I had used them, they are very messy and if you make a tiny mistake you have to start all over. It is important to me that I Got to know these so I know what to work on in the future. I will overcome my weakness by making more artworks using soft pastels and won’t focus a lot on drawings with permanent markers.

LO4- Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

I had a lot of deadlines and assignments that I had to submit so I had to find the time to make new artworks and develop a new skill. In addition, I had to make a new artwork on Raksha Bandhan because more artworks were required. I had a lot to do and drawing wasn’t my priority at that time, however, I still complete the task that was given to me and gave in a few extra artworks as well. It was honestly difficult and I generally am very good at committing to my tasks but this time I felt that I wasn’t able to give s much time as I wanted to because of all the factors adding up
