Our school Fountainhead invited a few government schools children to our school. The aim was to teach them activity which they like to play. These children came to our school for six consecutive wherein we use to make them play sports games or arts which they are interested in. We had an option of what we wanted to teach, in which we are best and we can give our best efforts. So I had chosen football as I have been playing football since ___ years and have great football skills.

L2: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

I was very happy to work with them and also to teach football to underprivileged children. A lot of times it happened that student didn’t listen to us and they started playing without our permission. This kind of mischief was done by me too and I still remember how my coach uses to handle me which helped me to handle the children. For the next sessions, I and my friends planned what we are going to do, and how long it will take to complete our task decided. Which then helped they other days to go smooth.

L3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience

We had an option to choose what we wanted to teach them. So before every Saturday we meet together and discuss future plans. We spent first 15-20 mins for body warm up and we had started with a normal game so that we can get attention and also they play with their heart rather forcefully. We had not planned the football before the very first session and it wasted almost 75% of the session. We had enjoyed a lot in these sessions.
