This was a student led event that was organized in our school with the intention of raising money for donation and at the same time make a platform for talented speakers to showcase their literary skills.
To raise money via food there were stalls placed on which there were delicious items made by students for the customers and in return they can donate as per their wish in the donation box.
The learning outcomes for this activity were:
Lo: 2 understand the challenges that have been undertaken to learn new skills
Monsoon musing was an event where we all friends created memories that will last forever, one of them was the job of serving tea, coffee and lemonade. It was something that i had never done before and that for a charitable social cause made it more special. The biggest challenge was that i was very shy in doing this task but after seeing my friends doing it i also decided not to step back.
Lo: 4 show commitment to and perseverance towards CAS experience.
Once I started serving tea and other things i actually started enjoying it. It being a long event it was quite tiring at some moments but the zest in the teachers and my friends helped me to come all the way through. Also the decoration was pretty difficult and delicate therefore it required patience and i feel that i contributed my bit very well.
Lo: 5 demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefit of working collaboratively.
Working in a group or working collaboratively is a skill that is with me from a very long time. I love working with people as I being an extrovert it gives me the opportunity to talk to the people I have never talked before. Due to the team we had we were able to serve tea and other beverages at a better and constant speed as we had distributed the work and therefore it became much easier to reach the audience.
