CAS Trip

CAS trip was an event conducted by our school which asked us to go for a trip to the Gir forest for a service and activity oriented task. We had an objective to make iron welded cage coverings to cover the wells in the forests as there were lions dying by mistakenly jumping into them during a predator prey chase at the night. It was a great experience to make such cages. The process included the usage of tools such as the welding machine and the cutter which we generally see getting used at construction sites. At first instance it seemed to be tough as we had never done such things before but there were professional instructors who had taught us the correct way to do the work.

The learning outcomes which I drew from this wonderful trip were:-

LO1 – As the learning outcome states I identified my own strengths in this trip which was that I feel hesitation in any task only in the beginning of the task but if I have the write knowledge about it and start doing the task then I am able to that particular work the best. Areas of development and growth during this process were my knowledge for the usage of such tools.

LO5 –  We all had put in our skills together to get the work done as fast as possible and as it was a trip by school we all friends were present so to get the work and achieve the objective in a smart and fast manner we all had put in a collaborative approach towards this task which was fun as things were happening fast.

Therefore , It was a great experience in this trip and what I took back from it was the knowledge about various things and the process of using some of the tools.
