Whakanui was an event organised by our school to make more significance regarding our Language topics more important. The event asked from us to perform a hypothetical Royal Wedding of different places and culture of the world. I was a part of the United Kingdom performing the  Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. We had to choose a text type which then we would present , my text type was Food menu. I choose food menu as I was very curious about their food culture and wanted to know about it.

The learning outcomes were:-

LO2 was identified by me as undertaking of challenges were done by me where I handled many stuffs on my own and also the skills which I improved in this CAS was that I learned to analyse even the smallest possible things we have around us.

LO5 Demonstration of the skill of research and analysis was mainly with having a collaborative approach towards achieving the objective and getting the work done.

Therefore, Whakanui was a great experience to have worked in as it was a great informative project to let me know more many things about different country’s cultures which they include in their weddings in different text types like (Wedding invitation , Wedding menu and also online posts).
