Wakanui (Creativity)

Culture day  also known as Wakanui was a non fundraising event organized by our school. It was a student-led event organized by one of my friend. There were 7 groups and each group was allocated with one continent. We got Bhutan as our country and I loved to explore bhutanese tradition and culture. Since this an event related to Language in cultural context we had to write different text types to showcase our learnings in the subject language and literature. My text type was Email in which I had to explain the marriage arrangements.

LO1:-identify own strength and develop areas of growth

So during event I developed new vocabulary skills also it gave me a broader picture as to how different text types can be used in different context espacitty cultural context as the event suggest.

LO2:–demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken,developing new skills in process

I am an introvert as mentioned in previous reflection so communicating with other people was challenging task for me.As an introvert this challenge was the most difficult one I have came across.It was difficult for me to explain everyone but not impossible. In the end my escort were there to help me.I even developed new vocabulary skills which made me feel good.

LO5-demonstrate the skills and recozinse of working collaboratively

As I am an introvert it’s always hard for me to work in group but this event changed my  whole opinion about group project.I thought I was the on who was leading group behind because in the first half i was not able to explain properly and secondly I was not speaking during group meeting.Now that I experienced real teamwork I feel like working in team is more important because I really enjoyed it.

Conclusion

So in the end I want to say that being an introvert was not good i was feeling like i was missing the fun of the life not able to enjoy and have fun but `because of this event I was able to learn new skills and enjoy my every movement to the fullest.
