Whakanui : The Royal Wedding

Whakanui was an event brought by our language and literature teachers team. In the event all the students were divided into groups and the groups were given countries like, Middle east, India, Bhutan and many more. After being divided into groups we had to research and exhibit different text types about how the royal families of the particular country have weddings , and how it is different from other culture and helps us to expand our knowledge. This event was conducted on 10th January 2019. The group that I was in was Middle east. The whole group mutually decided that we will be focusing on 2 countries – Dubai and Jordan royal families. In Dubai the royal family that we were focusing on was Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Suhail bin Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum and Prince Rashid bin El Hassan, and the princess Zeina Shaban from Jordan royal family. My work was to create post on twitter and facebook pre and post wedding. Learning outcome achieved :- LO 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth As today’s generation is into social media it was easy for us to make a post as somewhere down the line it even intrest me. Through which it was easy and didn’t face much difficulty in writing up but the problem faced was about creativity, as I am not so good in arts I learnt how to make my post more creative and innovative from my fellow partner. LO 2:  Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process. As discussed above, one of the challenges faced was to make the post creative, while asking help from my partner, I learned new skills of how to make post creative and innovative which would attract the audience. One more struggle I faced was public speaking, as I am the person who doesn’t like to present much, this event made my public speaking better as we had to speak in front of students and teacher and were assessed on it , which initially made it difficult for me but as in I had to present it several times my fear got away. LO 4:Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences We had different occasions and due dates arranging during the season of the occasion. In this way, everybody must be submitted towards the fulfillment of the undertaking, helping other people, being available on the day, paying little mind to different due dates. This even kept me roused and made the occasion a triumph. LO 5:Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively we took the advantage of working cooperatively and utilized each other’s abilities to an ideal level. The reason it is critical to work cooperatively is that when you work individually you don’t develop and adapt new things while joint effort causes you escape your usual range of familiarity. I think cooperation was significant during this movement as we both had our mastery in various territories and this joint effort helped us to make our work see its best. Evidences:-
