The farewell was an event organised on 22 Feb wherein there were different departments allocated to students. The game team developed games, the decoration team was supposed to decorate the stage and make photobooth the dance team prepared to dance and the video team made videos. So the event was done to give them a glimpse about the crucial years and the memories they are going to cherish for life. My keen interest was in arts and also my career choice is art so I opted for decoration. lo1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth: I opted for decoration as I am more of a creative person and my strength is in arts. I researched about what possible things could be made to make the decoration look aesthetically appealing and helped my team leader with it. One such of them was a ball, it was very beautiful but sticking minor pieces with a glue gun required and tested a lot of patience, focus and concentration. My teammates tried doing it but they couldn’t do it properly so I took the initiative and I gave my all in, it was because of my patience that I could do it. lo4-commitment to and perseverance: There were so many events and since I was a part of the decoration team for almost two events, I had to come for early ins and so managing time for studies, doing art along with it was troublesome. I at times didn’t feel like going early but I could not let my team down. Moreover, decoration had a lot of work to be done and therefore I had to take it home to do it and sacrifice my studies/ free time. Also on the last day, we panicked because our decoration wasn’t finished and the whole grade would blame us for that, so we did stay back at the last moment and finished our work. We were very exhausted and tired but we didn’t wanted to ruin grade 12 farewell and that made us preservant and committed to our task. L5-. Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively: We faced problems at the last moment but our team leader divided the work equally and as a team, we worked collaboratively helping each other with the things left. It is because of the team that even at the last moment we didn’t give up and held each others back, motivating and encouraging each other in performing out the task.
