SWIMMING

I always loved staying in water and for that reason I decided to join swimming class I knew swimming from a very young age but I wanted to gain the skills to swim faster and for a longer period of time I attended classes for a year and I saw a lot of improvement during that time.

The learning outcomes that I achieved through this activity are :

LO:1  IDENTIFY OWNS STRENGTHS AND DEVELOP AREAS FOR GROWTH.

I only knew how to do freestyle but by attending the classes I learned a lot of new styles such as backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke, underwater stroke, etc I never knew that I was capable of doing so many types of strokes but this activity helped me identify my strength in underwater stroke that I was not confident before and also help me improve in my freestyle stroke.

LO:4  SHOW is COMMITMENT TO AND PERSEVERANCE TOWARDS CAS EXPERIENCE .

This was a year long activity and to be committed to the activity was very difficult as I used to go to swim irrelevance of the climatic conditions. I used to swim in the rain as well as winter when the water was very cold. Due to this I was able to meet my goal and achieve a good target. As when I started I used to swim 250 meters in one hour but after all the efforts I use to swim 1 km in 1 hour also I had gain control over my breathing as now I could hold my breath for a minute and a half and swim 25 meters underwater.

LO:6  ENGAGEMENT IN ISSUES WITH GLOBAL SIGNIFICANCE .

Learning to swim is a survival skill and to master it is very important for each and every human a lot of people don’t know how to swim and to be able to learn such skill that can save lives is very important also it improves health which is a very important global issue and to maintain health is very crucial for our future .
