For my summer break I decided that I wanted to utilize that time in a better way and wanted to learn something new related to the field I am interested in as my career option. For this reason I asked my school to send me to an internship in the hr department to a well structured and well known firm of surat. For the same I went to the company by the name of : JAINAM STOCK EXCHANGE here I worked for 3 weeks in the H.R department under the guidance of MRS. TRUPTI RAJ she is the head of H.R in Jainam and has a lot of experience in this field.
During my tenure at the firm I learned a lot of things and accomplished a lot of learning outcomes.
Such as :
LO:1 IDENTIFY OWNS STRENGTHS AND DEVELOP AREAS FOR GROWTH.
One very important part of H.R is to interview people and recruit them while the internship I observed a lot of interviews and gave my suggestions and at that time I realized that I can understand people and analyze them this is a key feature that is required in an Interviewer.
Therefore I was able to identify my skill and also learned how to improve that skill
LO:2 DEMONSTRATE THAT CHALLENGES HAVE BEEN UNDERTAKEN,DEVELOPING NEW SKILLS
During the internship Trupti mam gave me a lot of responsibilities and tasks one of them was to file all the official documents of all their employees. Jainam had aprox 700 employees
And to file for all of them was a very difficult and challenging task but I faced many problems doing the task but after some time I got quick with the task and at the same time Trupti maam gave me comments so that I can improve that particular skill.
LO:4 SHOW is COMMITMENT TO AND PERSEVERANCE TOWARDS CAS EXPERIENCE .
This was a very difficult as I had never worked in a professional workspace and to work in such space for 18 days was very difficult. I tried to be committed to my work and therefore I attended the internship for the whole period without remaining absent.
Also to find and fill 700 documents was a challenging task but for the task I worked hard and completed the task in 3 days and therefore it showed my perseverance toward my internship.
LO:5 DEMONSTRATE THE SKILLS AND RECOGNISE THE BENEFIT OF WORKING COLLABORATIVELY.
H.R department is a department which is connected to all other departments and collaboration is very important during my internship I had to work with many other interns and this helped me to a great extent as we had to fill in tasks for all the employees as per the guidance of the head and this task was very tiresome and huge as there was a lot of communication needed between me and the head of departments as lack of communication could result in a very big mistake and these being tasks of the employees if wrongly send can affect their work.
LO:7 RECOGNISE AND CONSIDER THE ETHICS OF CHOICE AND ACTION.
There were a lot of ethical decisions to be made such as fabricating documents of employees as I was filing and searching for documents I could falsely add the document and make the task very easy and less time consuming but it being unethical I never did anything of this kind. As ethics builds my personality and character.
