CAS Personal Profile

Hi there,

My name is Tanish Labha and I am 17 years old. Currently, I am in my second year of IBDP. I believe that my main ability is to get habituated to new activities quickly and collaborating with people to do a particular task. According to me, these two abilities of mine have helped me in my CAS experience. After my CAS experience, I have been able to witness changes in my attitude towards challenges, develop new qualities and improve some skills at a visible rate.

Different sports and activities have always amused me and I have always tried to give my best in whatever task I do. Moreover, since a young age, I have been fascinated with travelling to new places and exploring them to the core. I believe that travelling would always broaden one’s thinking and help one to develop new perspectives about various things in life.

According to me, I am an extrovert in life because I have always liked to meet new people and socialize as much as possible. I believe that this would help me to know more about different people and about their cultures.

My outlook on life

I have always believed that ups and downs in life are different sides of the same coin. Throughout my life, I have been able to tackle such ups and downs and that has helped me improve my skills and be a better person in life. I would like to say that CAS has played a vital role in doing the same. Throughout the two years of the most vigorous course, CAS has helped me to do studies as well as the activities I have wished to do throughout my life. It has also helped me in knowing my real identity and talents.

Worldwide issues like education and poverty have always concerned me because I feel that the solutions to these issues will help humankind in the near future. I believe that education is the key to the new world and will reduce many problems like crime rates, pollution, climate change, etc. Humans have always preferred to stay in their habituated environment. However, I feel that slowly but surely changes are coming and in some years we will be able to witness a world with comparatively fewer issues.

I would surely miss IDBP once it gets over because of the vast learning experiences it has provided to me. However, I would never stop learning new things throughout my life because learning is a universal process and never judges you on any of your characteristics. I would like to explore as many as places possible and learn about different cultures.

There are many things I have not tried. It can be either sky diving or even bull running which I would love to try in the future. I am sure that I won’t be scared of anything in the world because I don’t want to put any limit to my curiosity and will to explore.
