Hey there! My name is Om Savani and I am 18 years old. I am currently in the second year of the IB Diploma Programme. My favourite subjects are Maths and Business Management, my interest in these subjects is not based on the ability to score, but on how important these subjects are in real life. Teamwork, Communication and Creativity are few of the most important skills that I have, these are also the skills that helped me through all this time in IB DP. These skills were proved to be very important while writing the Answers and Assessments, doing several group activities and group projects and sharing my ideas and thoughts with different people. After I finish IB DP I would like to study something related to Business and Technologies for my Undergraduate Studies.

I would say that I am an audio-visual based learner. I feel I learn better when I see or hear, if not that then I need to imagine the concept. I can not learn in a noisy and dull environment, I need silence and good light conditions. I am good at researching, so assignments like IA where we need to do research are better for me.

I generally like to read self-help books, because I believe that no one else is going to help you if you don’t. My favourite self-help book is The Power of Habit, it has had the greatest impact on me. It helped me understand the science behind the Habits and how can we change them, that helped me get rid of a few bad habits and also helped me understand basic human psychology.

I love exploring, I like to go to the places which I have never visited before or try something new. Travelling to more places not only makes a person more aware of what is happening in the real world but also helps a person to socialize and learn something new. I am also a Foodie so trying new food and knowing more about different people and cultures is what I do often while travelling.

My outlook on life is very simple and it is, Living life to its fullest. I do not believe in doing something that I do not like.  I do not want to die regretting something I could do but I did not do, so I believe in taking every opportunity that life throws at me and experiencing everything because I think that a person grows by experience and age is just a number.

After I finish college, I expect to become a businessman with involvement in multiple businesses. I haven’t decided something specific, but I do have a blurred image. I aim to start a business of my own, something related to technology and/or manufacturing. The business of diamonds also interests me, so hopefully, I would like to do something in that field too. With the rest of, I also have goals of making society a better place to live. During my childhood, I had a dream to open schools and hospitals for the needy ones, so I expect to fulfil that dream as well.
