Night out

The activity was done in January of 2019 as well as 2020.

Night out is an annual event at Fountainhead school. It involves late-night dance and music followed by a mid-night time tournament. I Played drums in a band for the event. This is not the band with which I have played before or continued playing afterwards, we only played covers to songs. Apart from that, I also played Volleyball in the night tournament.

Strands of CAS: C & A

L1:

SinceĀ I have been playing drums for a long time I worked on a strength of mine. I enjoyed my time on the stage playing drums for the extremely appreciative audience. One area that I must work on is communication with the other members of the band, as the lack of communication was evident due the errors made on the stage.

L2:

This was my first tournament of volleyball, a sport I had just started learning. I was lucky enough to play in a tournament that wasn’t professionally refereed. The first time is always a challenge, I was not completely confident initially. As we played games my confidence strengthened.

L5:

Playing in a band, one MUST synergize and understand other members’ situations. Collaboratively we worked on different aspects such as enlisting the songs we will be playing a cover of, keeping in touch with the organizers, etc.

Volleyball is a team sport. It requires flawless communication and coordination with team members. As the team was made on the spot, it was fun getting to know different people and interacting with them.
