CAS trip to gir

Being a new student, i was very fortunate that i got an opportunity like this to be a part of this gir trip as it comprised of all the three strands and an amazing chance wherein i could explore , learn and know more about preserving and conserving wildlife and nature. Also how to make a metal cover by processes like cutting, drilling and welding and protecting animals from falling in the well , was way fun in itself.

learning outcomes i achieved:

lo1- identify own strength and develop areas for growth: This trip made me realize that I like cutting things. Before doing it I was scared but I wanted to try it anyhow and while doing it I got to know that  it needs a lot of pressure, force and power to be applied from your hands to easily cut the metal. But due to lack of physical strength, I founded it tuff so I would want to work upon it by joining the gym.

lo2- demonstrate that new challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills: welding , cutting and drilling the metal  seemed to be very easy by looking but as soon as i wore gloves and sunglasses, i found everything to be black coloured And welding it without even looking at it, was  a scary and difficult job  but due to the commitment i had given to myself and the encouragement the teachers gave me, i could do it. Hence developing a new skill in me.

lo4- show preservance and commitment in cas experience: Before doing it i was very confident  but later i was very scared of doing welding and drilling as i earlier mentioned and so  i pushed myself into it and boosted myself to do the job i was commited to by finally finishing it.

lo5- demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively: It was very obvious to have a team you are comfortable with so that you can work collaboratively, smoothly and effectively. we were divided into two groups to make metal cover respectively and i was almost friends with all the people of my group. So by dividing our work , we finished our task very  first than the other group. Also working in a team helped us in completing our task on time.

moreover, it was a great learning experience and a fun trip.
