There was a student-let event called monsoon musings held on 1st september 2018 in fountainhead school school. In this event students across grades 7-11 were asked to put their art works on display or recite the poem sin the literary event which they had written themselves. Parallely we also had another event called seva cafe going on. Since this event was made compulsory for all grade 11 students everybody had to take up something. And I was really good at writing I thought of participating in the literary event.
The learning outcomes that I achieved during this event were as follows:-
LO1- I could identify my strengths and weaknesses. I understood that I am really good at writing poems but when it comes to presenting them( my poems) I am very shy so that is one the areas that tried to work upon. After i recited the poem i got the feedback that I had to improve my skills of reciting the poem so that is something that i will take care next time.
LO2- During this event there were various deadlines that were expected to be fulfilled by us like for example the people who were going to present their literary work were given a deadline to submit their work by a given date for proof reading but due to lot of other deadlines clashing with this one somehow I missed the deadline so then i had to face a lot difficulties and the main difficulty that i faced during this event was the recitation of my poems.
LO4- I was just a participant in the literary event which was going to start much later than the time we were called so I had a lot of spare time with me so I volunteered for helping with the decorations and the setting up of stalls for Seva cafe. By doing so i was showing my commitment towards the event, I wouldn’t want to show my commitment then i would have just sat doing nothing thinking that my job is in the literary event itself but i did not do that.
LO5- The main task for us was to work collaboratively as a team. As stated earlier that I was helping with the set up there were a lot of conflicts between the team members and me nut then eventually everything was sorted out and everybody worked as a team. Even during the literary event there were a lot of participants who were nervous but then all of us motivated them and asked them be confident enough because all of us wanted this event to be a success.
All in all it was a fun and memorable experience for me and during this there were a lot of things that i discovered about myself.
