Art for everyone (service)

This event was organised by our friends who wanted to encourage art in rural area by teaching art to needy children in that area. The excitement of those children was clearly seen on their faces even we enjoyed teaching those children. Even though I was a volunteer I got to know that what it feels like to be a teacher.

LO1:- identify own strength and develop areas of growth

During the I was able to identify my strength and weakness. My weakness was that I was not able to communicate properly but in end I somehow was able to tell them what to do. Now that I am aware of this weakness so I have started to work on this problem.

LO5:-demonstrate the skills and recozinse of working collaboratively

Working with others was always an easy task for me because works get divided equally and it gets easy for everyone. Everyone was friendly and they were doing their work perfectly. Working in group makes things easier and also develops my communication skills and social skills. Teamwork was the most important part in this activity because a single person would not be able to handle 30-35 kids.

It was such a fun activity to take part in. During activity I developed some learner profile like communicator, thinker, and reflective. This CAS benefited local school kids who cannot afford art classes and those kids who don’t have access to colours as we donated everything. This activity was a success because we could clearly see joy on those kids faces.
