Monsoon musings was a literary event organised by our english teachers where participants have to cite a poem to express their emotions. I volunteered to take part in Seva Cafe. The main purpose of Seva Cafe was to serve food to guest and people who participated in the literary event. This was an fundraising event where food was free and guests could donate if they want to donate. Me and my companions were assigned to work in ‘Chana Chor Garam’ stall.

LO2-demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in process

Cooking was not an easy task for me and I wouldn’t prefer to cook until this day. During this event I learnt how to chop vegetable and how to work in kitchen which indicates that I learned and developed new skills.

LO5-demonstrate the skills and recozinse of working collaboratively

Working with others was always an easy task for me because works get divided equally and it gets easy for everyone. My companions were very friendly and they were always ready to give their best. Teamwork was the most important part and without my team I don’t think that we could have served those many dishes.

LO7:-Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

This whole event was an fundraising event and the guest can donate if they want to donate. This event made me feel proud of myself because I was working for people who cannot even afford basic necessities and our donation may bring a little change into  their life.

This event was full of surprises because I thought that this event would be boring but I was wrong. This event helped to to learn cooking which was not my thing but this event proved me wrong again
