Monsoon Musing was a student lead event. This event gave students and teachers a stage to portray their feelings in different forms like poetry, stories and art works. The event also included Sava Cafe, in which the visitor had to pay the amount for the food, as much as they wish to. The money collected by the Seva Cafe was then donated. The visitors could also buy the artworks that were displayed by the students and pay according to their wish. I volunteered for Seva Cafe and served food to the visitors and the participants.
LO 1- Identify own strength and develop areas of growth:-
I really like cooking and serving food to people. I was also able to communicate to the visitors and my own team. At the same time I felt like I am not really good at cooking. I am very slow in cutting the vegetables and making my own recipes or making a new dish. However my team did help me through out the event and also covered my weaknesses. We all as a team worked hard and made the event successful.
LO 4- Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences:-
The event needed a lot of attention and commitment by all of us, to make it successful. We made sure that we give our hundred percent. We worked in teams and divided the work that had to be done and, the ingredients that had to be brought to the event. On the day of event I made sure that I am always on my place as the visitors could come at any time. The commitment toward the event was very important as I was serving and my team mates were preparing the food. This also made the work easy for everyone.
LO 5- Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively:-
Working in a team was easy compared to working individually. Working in group made workload less on everyone, and easy at the same time. As we had to prepare a food items, it was easy to collect the ingredients in team. As we all knew each other in our group, it made our work easy as we knew each others strength and weaknesses throughout the event.
At last the event was amazing and I had a lot of fun doing this. I also felt worthy about myself as the money collected was donated to someone needy
