This was a student led event organised by the teachers. The main idea behind this was to make the students sell the things that they had made. And for this event each student was divided into different groups I was a part of the decoration team. And we were responsible for deciding and making the decoration which was to be put up on the final day. The learning outcomes achieved during the same were:-\ Lo2-Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken- We had to think and make the decorations for this event. When we were told this we already had a lot of other work piled up (like decoration for the upcoming event i.e farewell). We were given a deadline to finish off the work on the day before the event so we could start putting it up well in advance. But it so happened that we could not finish the work on time and hence there was a delay in putting the decorations and we to change the idea several times before finalising it. So eventually we had to stay back in school to finish off the work. Lo4-Commitment to and perseverance- As stated earlier that there was lot of work that needed to be done. But despite the challenges that we faced we made sure that we stay committed to our work and hence due to the commitment that we showed it was possible for us to finish the work on time. Lo5-Demonstrate the skills and benefits of working collaboratively- Being a team it was everybody’s responsibility to do the task assigned we could not blame each other if something was left. We always made sure that everybody was doing the work assigned without any difficulty or if they needed help we were always there to help each other in the work. And most importantly all of us motivated each other to work as best as we could and not give up. That was the main part of working as a group (we would not let anybody get demotivated). Lo6- Engagement with issues of global significance- We were told that we would be given limited resources from the store to make the decorations so we used it very carefully keeping in mind not to waste any of the resources that were given to us. Since most of our decorations were made of paper we made sure not to waste paper either. With that the event was a great success and everybody appreciated the decoration that was done by our team and the amount of effort that was put in. As an individual there were a lot of external things that I learned. I learned time management, i developed some creative skills in the process as I had never done art in my entire life ever before. And lastly I learned to be satisfied with the work that was done by me.
